Change domain name

What to do when your website moves to a new domain.

1. Go to Site settings → General and enter the new domain.
2. Update the tracking code everywhere it is installed — including Google Tag Manager and any proxy.
3. The public key stays the same unless you deliberately create a new one.

Verify

• Open https://app.puremetrix.org and check that the menus and buttons match this guide.
• After changing the tracking code, open your site in a private browser window and check that the visit shows up in Realtime.
• If numbers look wrong, check the domain and public key, the Free plan limit, and your bot and user-role exclusions.
