WordPress integration
Install PureMetrix Analytics on WordPress with the setup wizard (Connect → Go live). Optional: same-origin proxy, excluding your own team’s visits by role, and WooCommerce purchases sent from your server.
Prerequisites
- A PureMetrix account at https://app.puremetrix.org/register.
- A site in the PureMetrix app with your live hostname. You only need to create it yourself for manual setup with Site ID / token — one-click Connect can create or link the site for you.
- Administrator access on WordPress.
Install and setup wizard
- Install PureMetrix Analytics from the plugin ZIP, or from the WordPress plugin screen once it is listed there.
- Activate the plugin. WordPress opens the setup wizard (PureMetrix → Setup). You can reopen it anytime from that menu until you finish or skip.
- Connect — choose Connect with PureMetrix (one click) or paste the Site ID / connect token of your site in the PureMetrix app. Optional: allow anonymous product-usage telemetry (details in the wizard; you can change this later under Settings → Privacy).
- Go live — optionally send a test pageview, then open the PureMetrix dashboard. If Live Charts are not set up yet, enable them so the dashboard embedded in WordPress works.
- After the wizard, open Settings → PureMetrix for everyday options: exclude visits from administrators (and other staff roles), same-origin proxy, WooCommerce, and privacy.
WooCommerce
Turn on server-side purchase tracking: the plugin then sends a Purchase event from your server when the order thank-you page loads. Place a test order and check the commerce widgets in PureMetrix. Revenue values use the fields documented in the plugin.
Verify
- A pageview from a private window appears in the PureMetrix dashboard (or use Send test pageview in the Go live step).
- Your visits as a logged-in admin are not counted if you excluded that role.
- After you enable Live Charts, the PureMetrix dashboard menu in WordPress shows your stats (embedded via a Shared link).
