Dashboard FAQ

Common questions when PureMetrix numbers disagree with gut feel or GA4.

  • Why different from GA4? The tools count differently: PureMetrix works without cookies, filters out bots and does not lose visitors who decline a cookie banner — see why numbers differ.
  • No data? Often the domain or key does not match, a cached page does not contain the tracking code yet, or an ad blocker blocks the request — a proxy helps with the last one.
  • Own team counted? Exclude WordPress user roles, and test while logged out.
  • Tracking paused? Your trial ended, you cancelled, or a grandfathered Free account hit 2,000 pageviews this month. Your existing stats stay; subscribe to keep tracking.

Verify

  • Open https://app.puremetrix.org and check that the menus and buttons match this guide.
  • After changing the tracking code, open your site in a private browser window and check that the visit shows up in Realtime.
  • If numbers look wrong, check the domain and public key, the Free plan limit, and your bot and user-role exclusions.
