Traffic spike notifications
Get an email when traffic jumps well above its usual level — and learn how spikes affect your plan and the Free limit.
- On paid plans you can get an email about unusual spikes: turn on Traffic spike alerts under Settings → Email reports.
- After a trial or if you cancel, tracking pauses until you subscribe; your existing stats stay. Grandfathered Free accounts pause at 2,000 pageviews/month. That is a hard limit, not a spike alert. On paid plans, an occasional spike is not billed — only if you go over your volume two months in a row are you asked to upgrade.

- If numbers look wrong, check the domain and public key, the Free plan limit, and whether bots or logged-in roles are excluded.
